Hi! Thanks for visiting my website and taking the time to learn more about Rolfing and about me.

I’m dedicated to helping people not only achieve pain relief, but also to come to deep healing in their bodies and selves, and find their authentic, joyful expression in the world. Our bodies are our homes, and when we don’t like them or they start breaking down we can’t just decide to move out and find a new one. We are in it, with our bodies,  together, for the long haul, for better or for worse. This is a marriage that we didn’t choose and we can’t get a divorce.

That’s why I am so passionate about helping people to come to a sense of peace and relaxation in their relationship with their bodies. Our entire lives are woven into our flesh. For that reason Rolfing and other forms of bodywork can be tremendously powerful in helping to heal not only on the physical level but on emotional, mental and spiritual levels as well.

My journey in bodywork started at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, where I learned about the power of touch to nurture, to heal, and to support. Massage, however, was not the perfect fit for me. I wanted something that could support people in a deeper intention to change their bodies and their lives. I thought back to my experience of receiving the Rolfing 10 Series, which I had received a few years earlier, and decided to look into Rolf Institute. I am so happy I did!

At the Rolf Institute I was given a vision of the human being and body in its wholeness. Furthermore, I was instructed in a specific method to lead the body into its natural state of alignment and integration. In my work I hold a space of freedom for clients to explore all of who they are from the wounded child parts to the parts so powerful and joyful that they can be scary. I know that when I am working on the body it isn’t just a slab of flesh. Our entire lives are written in our bodies and thus I always am sensitive to the person I am working with, making sure he or she feels safe and is present.

I  moved from Boulder, CO to the beautiful Bay Area in 2010. I find the land and the culture to be very supportive to the kind of life and work I want to live. I love sports. I grew up playing basketball and running track and cross country. I love music of all kinds. I have recently re-engaged my yoga practice and it has been a wonderful way to deepen into my body and allow energy to flow more freely with less restriction.
